The Veterans Memorial Court building was constructed in 2001 in memory of those who have served Ingham County . The primary responsibility of the Ingham County Sheriff's Office is the safety and security of inmates, staff, and the public. Deputies assist:

  • Judges
  • Law Clerks
  • Probation Officers
  • Attorneys
  • County Juvenile Officers
  • Corrections Officers
  • Juvenile Officers from private and state institutions

Courthouse activities are monitored via closed circuit TV. Deputies are also responsible for maintaining custody and control of new arrests and inmates and seeing that the proper transport agency returns them after the assigned court proceedings is finished.
