INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS
RESOLUTION TO CHANGE THE CLASSIFICATION OF A
POSITION WITHIN THE COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE
RESOLUTION #04-140
WHEREAS, position CTYCLK030 - Deputy Clerk/Data Coordinator (UAW Grade E) has been vacant since the December, 2003 resignation of the incumbent employee; and
WHEREAS, the duties of the position have changed to the point that data coordination duties are no longer a part of the job description; and
WHEREAS, applicants were interviewed for a vacant Deputy Clerk II (UAW Grade D) position; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk desires to offer position CTYCLK030 to a former County Clerk employee, as a Deputy Clerk II (UAW Grade D); and
WHEREAS, this change would result in a reduction in the County Clerk's proposed 2004 personnel budget; and
WHEREAS, the UAW has been consulted and has no objections to filling position CTYCLK030 as a Deputy Clerk II.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that position CTYCLK030 be changed from Deputy Clerk/Data Coordinator (UAW Grade E) to Deputy Clerk II (UAW Grade D), effective upon the adoption of this resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is authorized to make the necessary adjustments to the position allocation list and subsequent budget projections.
