RESOLUTION HONORING ZELLA BERNICE THOMPSON
RESOLUTION #04-162
WHEREAS, Zella Bernice Kupka was born April 22, 1924 to Mary Timko Kupka in Lansing, Michigan; and
WHEREAS, Bernice attended the Lansing Public Schools where she graduated from Everett High School; and
WHEREAS, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Vern B. Thompson on June 21, 1946, they have four children, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and
WHEREAS, through the years Bernice has devoted her time and energy to children; and
WHEREAS, she volunteered as a room parent, a band parent, a Girl Scout Leader, and made the band uniforms for the High School Majorettes; and
WHEREAS, Bernice is a full-time homemaker and care giver to those in need; and
WHEREAS, on April 22, 2004, Bernice celebrated her 80th birthday.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Zella Bernice Thompson for her dedication to the children and for the many contributions she has made to the citizens of Ingham County.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board congratulates Zella Bernice Thompson on the event of her 80th birthday.
