Resolution Authorizing A Letter of Agreement Allowing Employees In The ICEA Professional Local 33 To Have Access To Domestic Partner Health Insurance

RESOLUTION #04-216

WHEREAS, the ICEA Local 33 has requested entering into a letter of agreement to allow employees in the Professional Employees Unit to have access to domestic partner health insurance; and

WHEREAS, domestic partner health insurance benefits have been established as one of the negotiating guidelines by the Board of Commissioners; and

WHEREAS, domestic partner health insurance has been negotiated in some collective bargaining agreements.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners approves entering into a letter of agreement with the ICEA Local 33, allowing employees to have access to domestic partner health benefits.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chair, and County Clerk is hereby authorizing to sign the agreement on behalf of the Board of Commissioners.
