INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTINGENCY APPROPRIATION TO THE FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY 2003-04 CHILD CARE FUND BUDGET

RESOLUTION #04-222

WHEREAS, the Ingham County FIA has identified a significant increase in projected expenses from primarily a substantial increase in institutional care placement costs for the 2004 Child Care Fund budget; and

WHEREAS, the FIA is requesting the Ingham County Board of Commissioners to increase their 2004 budget appropriation accordingly.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an increase in the FIA 2004 Child Care Fund budget appropriation by $65,000.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller is directed to transfer $65,000 from the 2004 Contingency Fund and to amend the 2004 FIA budget by increasing it in total by $130,000 to include a match from the State of Michigan in the amount of $65,000 in accordance with this resolution.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the FIA shall continue to monitor institutional care placement costs as part of its efforts to stay within budget prior to any further appropriations being made for this purpose.
