RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONTRACT WITH THE
MICHIGAN FAMILY INDEPENDENCE AGENCY TO PROVIDE
SUPPORT FOR THE
JUMPSTART EARLY ADVANTAGE
PROGRAM
RESOLUTION #04-229
WHEREAS, the Ingham County Health
Department operates the JumpStart Program, intended
to improve maternal and child health and prevent child abuse and neglect; and
WHEREAS, the JumpStart Program is
supported by funding from several grants, with the principal grant from the
Michigan Family Independence Agency which requires local matching funds; and
WHEREAS, the Ingham County FIA has
contributed $15,000 per year to contribute to the local fund requirement; and
WHEREAS, the Ingham County FIA proposes
to commit $15,000 for this purpose during the period October 1, 2004 through
September 30, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Health Officer has recommended that the Board of
Commissioners authorize an agreement with the Michigan Family Independence
Agency (
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an
agreement with the Michigan Family Independence Agency to provide financial
support to the operation of the JumpStart Program
operated by the Ingham County Health Department.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the period of the agreement shall be
October 1, 2004 through September 30, 2005 and that the Michigan Family
Independence Agency shall provide up to $15,000 to
