RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH WIGEN, TINCKNELL, MEYER & ASSOCIATES TO PREPARE SPECIFICATIONS FOR THREE MAJOR PROJECTS AT THE INGHAM COUNTY CORRECTIONAL FACILITY
RESOLUTION #06-058
WHEREAS, the County is interested in contracting architectural and engineering services for the purpose of preparing the scope of work, specifications, and overseeing and coordinating the replacement of the fire alarm and HVAC systems, and the installation of an emergency generator at the Ingham County Jail; and
WHEREAS, funds for these three (3) major projects have been approved within the appropriate CIP Budgets; and
WHEREAS, after going through a competitive bidding process, WTM submitted the lowest responsive and responsible proposal in an amount not to exceed $65,900 for said services; and
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Ingham County Facilities Department in concurrence with the Purchasing Department to award a contract to Wigen, Tincknell, Meyer & Associates to provide architectural and engineering services for the replacement of the fire alarm and HVAC systems, and the installation of an emergency generator at the Ingham County Jail for an amount not to exceed $65,900.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes entering into a contract with Wigen, Tincknell & Meyer & Associates, 100 S. Jefferson Ave., Suite #601, Saginaw, Michigan 48607, to provide architectural and engineering services for the replacement of the fire alarm and HVAC systems, and the installation of an emergency generator at the Ingham County Jail for an amount not to exceed $65,900.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
