RESOLUTION HONORING MARTHA GLYNN

 

RESOLUTION #07-002

 

WHEREAS, to honor outstanding women of Ingham County who make a difference through their actions and contributions to their communities, Martha Glynn was selected by the Ingham County Women’s Commission as one of Ingham County’s Everyday Heroines; and

 

WHEREAS, Martha Glynn is a retired kindergarten teacher from the Dansville Agricultural School District; and

 

WHEREAS, as a kindergarten teacher, dealing with impressionable children on a daily basis, Martha worked diligently to try to make a difference in the lives of her students; and

 

WHEREAS, for years she served as a positive role model to all of the students who passed through her classroom; and

 

WHEREAS, Martha has shown compassion, strength, love and kindness to those around her, and she has used these traits to help wherever she is needed, at the age of 99 she still continues to be quite active and involved; and

 

WHEREAS, on January 13, 2007, Martha Glynn will celebrate her 100th birthday; and

 

WHEREAS, Martha Glynn was selected by the Ingham County Women’s Commission as an Everyday Heroine in recognition of the many years of caring and hard work she has given to the families of Ingham County.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Martha Glynn for her many years of dedicated and caring service to the County of Ingham and in particular to the children of the County of Ingham. 

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board congratulates Martha Glynn for her recognition as an Everyday Heroine by the Ingham County Women’s Commission and on the event of her 100th birthday.
