RESOLUTION HONORING BRUCE B. BRAGG

 

RESOLUTION #07-003

 

WHEREAS, Bruce Bragg has served as the Health Officer/Director of the Ingham County Health Department since January 3, 1977, making him Ingham County’s longest serving Health Officer; and him and

 

WHEREAS, Bruce’s service to the community at the local, state, and national level has been exemplar quality; and

 

WHEREAS, his direction of the Ingham County Health Department in the involvement in community activity through community health assessment, environmental health assessment and improvement initiatives, and through his coordinative role in the implementation of a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation grant to assure access to health care for the uninsured and a W.K. Kellogg Foundation “Community Voices” grant is recognized at the national level; and

 

WHEREAS, Bruce received the Roy R. Manty Award in 2005, which is the highest individual award given in Michigan by local public health; and

 

WHEREAS, Bruce has served on the Board of Trustees of the Ingham Regional Medical Center, is a member of the Board of Directors of the Michigan Association for Local Public Health (MALPH) and National Association for County and City Health Officials (NACCHO).

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Bruce B. Bragg for 30 years of service with Ingham County and appreciates his dedication and the many contributions he has made toward improving the lives of the citizens of the County of Ingham.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes him continued success in all of his future endeavors.
