INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

 

RESOLUTION HONORING DEPUTY PHILLIP JONES

 

RESOLUTION #07-287

 

WHEREAS, Phillip Jones began his career with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office in 1982 as a Corrections Officer; and

 

WHEREAS, in 1983 he began attending Paramedic School at Lansing Community College while working the night shift at the Ingham County Jail; and

 

WHEREAS, in June of 1985, Deputy Jones transferred from the Jail to Field Services and began serving as a Paramedic Police Officer, working with experienced officers for a few weeks, then on his own; and

 

WHEREAS, during his career, Deputy Jones was assigned the responsibility of handling the paramedic supply budget and continued education for four instructor/coordinators and thirty paramedics; and 

 

WHEREAS, Deputy Jones taught CPR and first aid to the employees of the Sheriff’s Office annually, and was assigned to Staff Services where he taught DARE and worked with the Explorer Program; and 

 

WHEREAS, with over 25 years of dedicated service, Deputy Phillip Jones is retiring from his position with the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Deputy Phillip Jones for his many years of service to the County of Ingham and its citizens.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes him continued success in all of his future endeavors.
