RESOLUTION HONORING JOY MALONEY

 

RESOLUTION #08-168

 

WHEREAS, Joy Maloney began her career with Ingham County in June 1978 as a part-time Clinic Nurse at a facility on Greenlawn; and

 

WHEREAS, in February, 1990 she became a three quarter-time employee; and

 

WHEREAS, in July, 1992 she became a full time employee; and

 

WHEREAS, in March, 1994 she was promoted to Charge Nurse in the Immunization Clinic; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2003, she was promoted to Immunization Supervisor; and

 

WHEREAS, during her career she was a leader in developing the Health Department’s Emergency Response Plan; and

 

WHEREAS, she led the implementation of the Michigan Care Improvement Registry in Ingham County and helped to significantly increase childhood immunization rates; and

 

WHEREAS, for 30 years she has been dedicated to serving the Ingham County Health Department and the community; and

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Joy Maloney for her many years of dedicated service to the County of Ingham and for the contributions she has made to the Ingham County Health Department.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes her continued success in all of her future endeavors.
