INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH

LAUX CONSTRUCTION, LLC FOR AN EAGLE EXHIBIT AT THE

 POTTER PARK ZOO

RESOLUTION #08-075

WHEREAS, the new Eagle Exhibit will provide ample living space for its occupants and reflect their natural habitat; and

WHEREAS, the funding for this project will be available and split 50/50 between the CIP Line Item 258-69900-977000-0712Z ($49,847.50) and the Zoological Society ($49,847.50); and

WHEREAS, the Purchasing Department solicited proposals for this project, after review, it is the recommendation of the Facilities Department in concurrence with the Purchasing Department to award a contract to Laux Construction, LLC for a not to exceed amount of $99,695.00, this cost also reflects the payment of prevailing wage.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes awarding a contract to Laux Construction, LLC, 1535 Jessop Road, Dansville, Michigan 48819, for the construction of the Eagle Exhibit at the Potter Park Zoo for a total cost not to exceed $99,695.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary documents that are consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
