RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING RECEIVE SITE ENHANCEMENTS TO THE PUBLIC

SAFETY WIRELESS VOICE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

 

RESOLUTION #08-092

 

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopted Resolution #03-324  to accept the M/A-COM, Inc. Final System Design as recommended by the Ingham County 911 Advisory Committee and MLJ Consulting, Inc. to replace and upgrade the Public Safety Radio Communications System in Ingham County; and

 

WHEREAS, the 911 Advisory Board and the Lansing Radio Shop are recommending that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approve Receive Site Enhancements to the Public Safety Wireless Voice Communication System, in order to minimize interference to the Ingham County EDACS public safety communication system during the warmer months.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves   a contract amendment with M/A-COM, Inc. for Receive Site Enhancements to the Ingham County Public Safety Radio Communications System, as recommended by the Ingham County 911 Advisory Committee, for a cost not to exceed $44,019 to be completed by July 1, 2008.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes up to $44,019 from unbudgeted 911 Emergency Telephone Dispatch Services - 911 Funds for Management and System Improvements for this project.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any new contract or purchase documents as prepared by or approved as to form by the County Attorney that are consistent with this resolution.
