RESOLUTION TO APPROVE DEFICIT ELIMINATION PLAN FOR THE

INSURANCE INTERNAL SERVICE FUND

 

RESOLUTION #08-094

 

WHEREAS, an accounting deficit of $183,569 exist in the Insurance Internal Service Fund as of December 31, 2007; and

 

WHEREAS, a deficit elimination plan must be approved by the County Board of Commissioners and filed with the State of Michigan Local Audit Division; and

 

WHEREAS, after review by Financial Services, it has been determined that currently budgeted charges, if continued in 2009, will eliminate the deficit by the end of 2009.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners adopts a deficit elimination plan that continues budgeted charges to user departments through the 2009 budget year.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Insurance Internal Service Fund will be monitored on a biannual basis and the budget or the plan will be modified to insure elimination of the deficit.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Ingham County Controller will submit the Deficit Elimination Plan to the Department of Treasury for certification.
