RESOLUTION TO HOLD SPECIAL ELECTIONS FOR COMMISSIONER

VACANCY IN DISTRICT 8

 

RESOLUTION #09-293

 

WHEREAS, a vacancy currently exists on the Ingham County Board of Commissioners in District 8; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Clerk has advised that special elections to fill the vacancy shall be called by the County Board of Commissioners as provided by MCL 46.412; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Clerk has suggested dates as stated in the attached schedule.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners shall designate February 23, 2010 as a primary election date and May 4, 2010 as a general election date for the purpose of filling the vacancy in Commissioner District 8.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board hereby adopts the attached election schedule.
