RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE INSTALLATION OF RECREATIONAL VEHICLE POWER PEDESTALS & AREA LIGHTING AT THE INGHAM COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS TO BE PERFORMED BY SUPERIOR ELECTRIC OF LANSING, INC.
RESOLUTION #09-301
WHEREAS, due to continued growth amongst campers, more campground electrical pedestals and lighting for campers are needed; and
WHEREAS, the Purchasing and Facilities Departments both concur that a contract be awarded to Superior Electric of Lansing Inc., who submitted the lowest responsive and responsible bid in the amount of not to exceed $69,850.00, which also reflects the payment of prevailing wage and in conjunction with a contingency of $5,150.00 for unforeseen obstacles that may occur with the project; therefore, the total fee would be not to exceed $75,000.00; and
WHEREAS, funds for this project are available within the Hotel/Motel Fund for Capital Improvement Plan Projects at the Fairgrounds.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby authorizes awarding a contract to Superior Electric of Lansing, Inc., 212 West Sheridan Road, Lansing, Michigan 48906, to provide campground pedestals for a cost of $69,850.01 plus a contingency of $5,150.00 for unforeseen items that may arise, for a total not to exceed cost of $75,000.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Controller/Administrator to make any necessary budget adjustments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary documents that are consistent with this Resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
