RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE 2009 RISK AVOIDANCE GRANT (RAP) FROM THE MICHIGAN MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (MMRMA)

 

RESOLUTION #09-316

 

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office has applied for and has been approved to receive a Risk Avoidance Grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority; and

 

WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is for the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office to purchase two (2) new Automatic Emergency Defibrillators (A.E.D.) for the Corrections Division; and

 

WHEREAS, the award amount of this reimbursement grant is to fund 50% of the cost of the two new Automatic Emergency Defibrillators to a maximum grant of $1,500.00 and;

 

WHEREAS, the remaining costs of the two Automatic Emergency Defibrillators will be covered by 2009 Federal JAG Grant funds.

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves acceptance of the 2009 Risk Avoidance Grant (RAP) from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA) in the amount of $1,500.00, to be matched on a dollar for dollar basis up to a project total of $3,000 by the 2009 JAG Grant funds for the purchase of two Automatic Emergency Defibrillators.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller/Administrator to make any necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office 2009 Budget.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Board Chairperson and the County Clerk to sign any necessary contract documents that are consistent with this Resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
