RESOLUTION HONORING NORMA HANSON

RESOLUTION #09-403

WHEREAS, Norma Hanson began her employment with Ingham County as a Clerk Steno II in the Board of Commissioners Office on March 13, 1985; and

WHEREAS, prior to this date she served as a temporary employee on several occasions in the Board of Commissioners’ Office; and

WHEREAS, on October 14, 1996, Norma, began working as the Secretary to the Deputy Controller, until she was promoted to serve as Secretary to the Controller, her position was later reclassified to an Administrative Assistant; and

WHEREAS, during her years of service with Ingham County Norma proved to be a dedicated, hard working employee with a compassion to help those in need; and

WHEREAS, Norma has worked as the Administrative Assistant to four different Controller/Administrators; and

WHEREAS, Norma’s contributions to the Controller/Administrator’s Office have been greatly appreciated; and

WHEREAS, she has touched the lives of many County employees and will long be remembered for her great sense of humor; and

WHEREAS, she has served as a member of the Wellness Committee for a number of years in the capacity of the Vice-Chairperson, and most recently as Chairperson, a role she took very seriously as demonstrated in her efforts to provide healthy living ideas and challenges for Ingham County employees; and

WHEREAS, Norma is retiring from her position with Ingham County on December 18, 2009.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Norma Hanson for her nearly 25 years of dedicated service to the County of Ingham.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board sincerely appreciates the contributions Norma Hanson has made to the citizens of Ingham County and wishes her the best in her future endeavors.
