RESOLUTION HONORING PAMELA CROOKEDACRE

 

RESOLUTION #09-420

 

WHEREAS, Pamela Crookedacre worked for the Leslie Public Schools from 1997 through 2004, serving as the Principal at Woodworth Elementary School from 2000 through August 2004; and

 

WHEREAS, as administrator, she advanced the Woodworth Elementary School from a low-achieving high needs school to an award-winning learning community which received the State of Michigan Golden Apple Award for most improved in 2001 and the School Board Association’s “Michigan Best” award in 2002; and

 

WHEREAS, Woodworth Elementary succeeded in achieving an A+ rating from the State of Michigan in 2003; and

 

WHEREAS, in August of 2004, Pamela became the Principal of Holt Public School’s Midway Elementary School; and

 

WHEREAS, her innovative vision and strong educational leadership have earned her regional honors; and

 

WHEREAS, in 2004, Pamela received the Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principals’ Association’s Region 8 Honor Award; and

 

WHEREAS, Pamela is a passionate educator who is committed to growth and is determined to provide outstanding education for all students; she supports the efforts and celebrates the success of her students and members of her staff; and

 

WHEREAS, in December, Pamela will be leaving the State of Michigan. 

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby honors Pamela Crookedacre for her many achievements and outstanding service to the Leslie and Holt Public Schools.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board appreciates her commitment and dedication to improving the lives and education of our future leaders -- the youth of Ingham County.

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board wishes Pamela continued success in all of her future endeavors.
