RESOLUTION RECOGNIZING THE 2008 OUTSTANDING VOLUNTEERS
OF THE POTTER PARK ZOOLOGICAL SOCIETY
RESOLUTION #09-082
WHEREAS, the Potter Park Zoological Society recognizes outstanding Potter Park Zoological volunteers each year; and
WHEREAS, docent Julie Vallier, gardeners Steve and Nina Morrow, along with Dale and Joyce Rothenberger, have shown a remarkable level of devotion to the idea of community involvement by actively seeking out ways to benefit the Potter Park Zoo and Potter Park Zoological Society; and
WHEREAS, Julie, in 1992 and Steve, Nina, Dale and Joyce in 2004, began a lasting relationship with the Potter Park Zoological Society with their visions of helping the Potter Park Zoological Society and the Potter Park Zoo; and
WHEREAS, they worked tirelessly to ensure the zoo grounds, events, and visitor experience was the best it could be by expending countless hours of labor, thought, service, and ideas; and
WHEREAS, Julie, Steve, Nina, Dale, and Joyce continue to be outstanding and committed volunteers for the benefit of the Potter Park Zoological Society and the Potter Park Zoo.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners hereby congratulates Julie Vallier, Steve and Nina Morrow, and Dale and Joyce Rothenberger on being chosen the 2008 volunteers of the year by the Potter Park Zoological Society.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board appreciates their commitment and recognizes the impact of their work and the immeasurable value of the contributions they have selflessly made to the Potter Park Zoo, Potter Park Zoological Society and the citizens of Ingham County.
