INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO APPROVE ACCEPTING $22,800 IN POLYCOM VIDEO CONFERENCING EQUIPMENT FROM THE STATE COURT ADMINISTRATORS OFFICE (SCAO) FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROMOTING VIDEO CONFERENCING

RESOLUTION #10-255

WHEREAS, the SCAO is currently involved in a project to promote the use of Video Technology in courtrooms to reduce transport and improve safety and security; and

WHEREAS, SCAO has offered Ingham County $22,800 in Polycom Video Conferencing equipment and services; and

WHEREAS, Ingham County already possess 12 Polycom Video Conferencing Units and continues to implement additional units for this same purpose; and

WHEREAS, the Video Conferencing unit will be used to conduct Video Arraignment with the Michigan Department of Corrections locations as well as video testimony with Michigan State Police forensic labs.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of Commissioners authorizes accepting $22,800 in Video Conferencing equipment and services from SCAO.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller/Administrator is authorized to make any necessary budget adjustments.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
