RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH IMAGESOFT CORPORATION FOR AN IMAGING PROJECT AND A REORGANIZATION WITHIN THE

INGHAM COUNTY PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE

RESOLUTION #10-280

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office has started converting files into a Paperless Imaging System to provide better efficiency and access to justice to all victims; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office has gone live with the Adult portion of the Office which is completed and functioning well; and

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office wishes to engage their vendor Imagesoft to now provide functionality and integration to provide paperless imaging to its Juvenile and Abuse and Neglect; and

WHEREAS, the County Prosecutor’s Office believes that due to the paperless imaging system they can complete a reorganization within the Office to operate in a more efficient manner.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves a contract with Imagesoft Inc., for the business analysis, design, and management for abuse and neglect and juvenile delinquency cases at a cost not to exceed $42,900, as stated in the attached proposal.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a Project Budget is approved in the amount of $47,190.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Project Budget funds for this contract will come from the Law and Order Fund for Technology Group (LOFT) Fund.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Prosecutor’s Office reorganization will eliminate five (5) Full Time Equivalent ( FTEs’) positions, create (2) Full Time Equivalent ( FTEs’) positions and increase one ( ¾ ) Full Time Equivalent ( FTEs’) position to full time for a net decrease of (2 ¾) Full Time Equivalent ( FTEs’) positions as follows:

Create two FTEs’ and Increase a ¾ FTE to Full Time:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Controller/Administrator is authorized to make any necessary adjustments to the proper Prosecuting Attorney’s Office Budget and Position Allocation List.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2010 Hiring Freeze/Delay is lifted for the above named new and expanded Prosecuting Attorney’s Office positions to be filled by October 1, 2010.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
