RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE AN AMENDMENT
TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF

 MICHIGAN FOR THE PROVISION OF DENTAL SERVICES

RESOLUTION #10-373

WHEREAS, in 2007 the Health Department and University of Michigan School of Dentistry (UMSD) entered into an agreement for UMSD to provide dental services at the Health Department’s Community Health Center Network as an outreach and training program for its students; and

WHEREAS, in 2008 the UMSD and the Health Department entered into a four (4) year agreement for UMSD to continue to provide services at the Health Department’s Community Health Center Network; and

WHEREAS, the agreement was for $33,777 for the first year with annual adjustments; and

WHEREAS, UMSD has not requested a rate adjustment since the agreement was executed in 2008; and

WHEREAS, UMSD and the Health Department have agreed to a new rate of $34,790 effective June 1, 2010.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Agreement for the Provision of Dental Services between Ingham County Health Department and the Regents of the University of Michigan be amended to reflect the new rate of $34,790 per year effective June 1, 2010.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board Chairperson is authorized to sign the Amendment after review by the County Attorney.
