INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE ENTERING INTO A CONTRACT WITH

HOUSE ARREST SERVICES, INC.

RESOLUTION #10-058

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners has previously entered into a contract with House Arrest Services, Inc. to provide equipment for the electronic monitoring program; and

WHEREAS, the Circuit Court’s Family Division moved to another vendor, Sentinel, to be consistent with the General Trial Division of the Circuit Court; and

WHEREAS, the Family Division believes there is a benefit in primarily using House Arrest Services, Inc.; and

WHEREAS, the Family Division was budgeted in fiscal year 2009/2010 for up to $30,000, to pay for electronic monitoring services.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners authorizes an agreement with House Arrest Services, Inc. for electronic monitoring of court adjudicated youth, at a cost not to exceed $30,000, for the time period of October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Chairperson of the Ingham County Board of Commissioners and the County Clerk are authorized to sign any necessary contract documents consistent with this resolution and approved as to form by the County Attorney.
