INGHAM COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS

RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT THE 2010 RISK AVOIDANCE GRANT (RAP) FROM THE MICHIGAN MUNICIPAL RISK MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY (MMRMA) FOR $15,000.00, FOR PURCHASING DIGITAL IN-CAR CAMERAS FOR THE INGHAM COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE FIELD SERVICES DIVISION

RESOLUTION #10-060

WHEREAS, the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office has applied for and has been approved to receive a Risk Avoidance Grant from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority; and

WHEREAS, the purpose of this grant is for the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office to purchase new digital in-car cameras for patrol vehicles used by field services division; and

WHEREAS, the awarded amount of this reimbursement grant is to fund 50% of the cost of the new digital in-car cameras to a maximum grant of $15,000.00; and

WHEREAS, the remaining costs of the digital in-car camera project will be covered by 2008 and 2009 Capital Improvement Funds.

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ingham County Board of Commissioners approves acceptance of the 2010 Risk Avoidance Grant (RAP) from the Michigan Municipal Risk Management Authority (MMRMA) in the amount of $15,000.00.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the Ingham County Board of Commissioners directs the Controller/Administrator to make any necessary budget adjustments in the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office 2010 Budget.
